Description

This educational programme is delivered under a sub-contract agreement between Wai Skills and the National Council of YMCAs of New Zealand (NZQA Registered PTE).

 

This pool water treatment course is for those trainees would like to obtain unit standard 25981- maintain water quality in a basic public pool and who are not currently completing the Senior Pool Lifeguard Qualification.  It is the next step for those trainees that have completed the Introduction to Pool Operations Course (US20046).

All trainees will require access to a pool treatment system to complete the required assessment tasks for this course.

Course Content

This module incorporates unit standard 25981 - maintain water quality in a basic public pool and provides theory and practical information on maintaining water quality in a swimming and spa pool.

Assessment

The assessments for this course contain both theory and workplace tasks based on the course content.  All assessments tasks must be completed to successfully obtain US25981.

Assessment and course material will be accessed via MS Teams Classroom.  All trainees will be provided a YMCA Education MS Teams logon to access course resources.
