Our Privacy Policy
Wai Skils and its Partners are committed to protecting the privacy of all our stakeholders, including students, employers, their families, our staff, our subcontracted providers and their staff involved in education delivery. We will protect the privacy of our stakeholders by meeting the information privacy principles outlined in The Privacy Act 2020 summarised below:
- We will only collect the information we need
- Where possible, we will only get information directly from the person
- We will be clear about what the information will be used for
- We will use fair and reasonable ways of collecting information
- We will keep your information safe and secure
- You can access your information, where appropriate
- You can correct your information if you think it is wrong
- We will make sure information is accurate before we use it
- We will only keep information as long as we need it
- We will only use information for the purpose we collected it as outlined in the enrolment form
- We will only share personal information if we have good reason such as when:
- we have the permission from you
- a law requires us to do so
- It is one of the purposes for which we gathered the information
- we disclose it in a form that does not identify you
- We will only send personal information overseas if the organisation outside of New Zealand meets the criteria.
- We only use individual identifiers (such as NSN number) where it is necessary

In completing and signing a course enrolment form, you authorise the disclosure of your personal information on the understanding that Wai Skills will comply with the legal requirements in relation to the use and disclosure of personal information, as set out in the Privacy Act 2020, the Education and Training Act 2020 and other relevant legislation.
